The stellar cast, many of whom perform locally in both English and French, include Montreal favorites, theatre and film actor Tony Calabretta whose plays have garnered rave reviews, National TV and Radio personality Natasha Gargiulo who has hosted the Grammy Awards Red Carpet, Claudia Ferri the series lead in the TV comedy Ciao Bella, two-time Dora Award winner Tony DeSantis who has worked on innumerable productions over the past 35 years, and Brittany Drisdelle, a native Montrealer who has been acting since she was 10 - she can be seen in the upcoming series Barkskins. Veteran music producer and highly acclaimed filmmaker Antonio DiVerdis directs this wonderful comedy-drama with a "twist of tristesse".
Montreal's own Tony Calabretta has been compared to the great Broadway playwright Neil Simon. As a playwright, Tony’s plays, Damn Those Wedding Bells! and Don’t Blame it on the Stork have garnered praise from critics and audiences alike wherever they were staged. The success of Damn Those Wedding Bells! caught the attention of legendary Canadian playwright, Michel Tremblay, who agreed to translate it into French. Calabretta's most recent theatrical offering The Glam Mothers is hilarious & heartwarming, performed to a Gen-X soundtrack, something that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for mid-lifers all too often forgotten in the playbook of Millenials vs. Boomers.
