Infinitheatre's Kafka's Ape

If you missed Infinithéâtre's production of "Kafka's Ape" the first time round now is the time to catch it. This powerful drama returns for a limited engagement of nine shows in Greater Montreal and beyond with performances in English and French throughout February before moving on to China and Japan in the spring. The play is based on Franz Kafka's short story "A Report for an Academy". Adapted and directed by Guy Sprung it features original star Howard Rosenstein a superbly versatile actor as "Mr. Redpeter", a half-man, half-ape. Captured on the Gold Coast and imprisoned in a cage, Redpeter’s only escape route is to become a hard-drinking mercenary soldier in the "Peace Industry". An ironic commentary on what it means to be human "Kafka's Ape" is a must-see event. Performance Schedule: Feb 8th & 9th - 8pm/2pm @ Espace Knox in N.D.G; Feb 15th & 16th – 8pm @ Morin Heights Theatre in Morin Heights; Feb 19th & 20th – 7:30pm @ Maison de la Culture Frontenac in Ville Marie; Feb 27th – 7:30pm @ Maison de la Culture du Plateau Mont-Royal in Le Plateau.
